Notes

This issue has a vivid red body, black chassis, a wire drawbar and flat spun hubs (1959).
Later issues would have a cream paint finish and later still with a cast drawbar.
There are a couple of small marks on the black wheel arches and a couple on the rear rim of the roof. Wire drawbar is complete and intact, as is the drop-down rear door. The original pony is in super condition with none of the usual paint loss to the blue ‘rug’! Note that the card packing piece for the pony is still present. Looks like old shop stock.

The blue and yellow picture box is complete and quite crisp with bright colours. Small area of surface removal at an end flap where an old shopkeeper’s price has been removed.

Complete with the correct early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form, as well as a small printed notice from Corgi explaining how to open the tail gate. Most unusual extra item.
