An unsold shopkeeper’s trade box stocked full of these unused, shining bright silver twin-engined fighter planes! What a find!

Obviously barely handled, each aeroplane has a lustrous finish throughout. Rarely seen the light of day. The occasional little mark, picked up during storage.
Note that the sturdy yellow card box is dual-numbered, so marking the transition from 70D (earlier 1946-49)to 731 (1952-55). Indeed, these planes are silver throughout, unlike the earlier numbering which have a blue canopy. An interesting note; these planes have the letter ‘N’ in Meccano reversed! A documented ‘variation’!
The box is bright and intact throughout, with only a little ruffle and minor grubbiness/handling wear. Two of the original dividers are present too! Shopkeeper has pencilled the number 6 on the lid.
