Nicky Dinky 170 Lincoln Continental
Lincoln Continental by Nicky Dinky Toys, No. 170. Silver with a black roof version. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce. From The 25 Year Collection in California.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A very close to mint example finished in silver with a black roof, jewelled headlights, off-white interior, black steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
Shiny black base with ‘NICKY TOYS ’ and ’LINCOLN CONTINENTAL’ (the word DINKY obliterated) .
Few tiny dots on the roof rub and that’s about it.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is bright and complete. Tape repairs to end flaps at one end. Light wear besides.
