Notes
Sought-after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This ‘E’ Type Jaguar model is finished in silver with an intact detachable black hood, and detachable cream folded hood. Original windscreen is complete too. One-piece wheels and tyres. In virtually mint state (hard to find this good).
An early issue so the Dinky lettering on the baseplate is still partially visible with just the letters ‘DIN’ blanked out (so ‘KY’ and ‘TOYS’ still visible), as well as the original lettering ‘Jaguar ’E’ Type from Dinky. No reference to the Indian manufacturer made on the base of this early Nicky Toys model.
The picture box (to Nicky toys standard) is complete and clean and with a crisp feel to the card. Light age/handling wear.
With card packing ring.
