Corgi Toys Gift Set 3S Thunderbird Guided Missile on Assembly Trolley

Such a scarce set – and only the second suspension version of this Gift Set we have handled. This set was issued between 1959-63 (although this suspension version would have been released toward the end of the production run), it comprises:

i) 350 Thunderbird Missile in silver with a red rubber nose cone. Notably, this rubber nose cone has not perished or become distorted and is correct for this late issue. Trailer (RAF Blue finish with black plastic swivelling wheels, black plastic tow ring and metal clips to hold the missile in place). Very close to mint.

ii) 351 Land Rover in RAF Blue finish with suspension on shaped spun wheels, with a lemon interior and a plastic tilt, tow hook, well-shaped original tyres and spare on the bonnet. Outstanding lustre.
An exceptional find in mint condition!

Slim outer box is complete and brightly-coloured and correct with the all-important ‘S’ label on end flap.

Note there are printed instructions on all small end flaps. Light wear and a small tear.
