Dinky Toys 283 BOAC Coach
B.O.A.C. Coach by Dinky Toys, No. 283. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce Late Issue PLAIN Box with thin plastic packing strip. A First for QDT! From The Off-shore Collection.
Notes
First issued during 1956, this coach has a deepest blue paint finish with a crisp white roof. ‘BRITISH OVERSEAS AIRWAYS CORPORATION’ lettering is complete on both sides. The BOAC lettering in yellow as well as the distinctive gold Speedbird emblem is complete, too. Shiny base, blue cast wheels and the smooth original tyres are well-shaped.
Occasional minor mark to the paint finish.
A very scarce find in the plain late issue card box – and nice to see that it comes complete with the thin plastic packing strip too. Very close to old shop stock quality.
