We are very pleased to offer this superb Dinky model issued during the transitional period during 1954 when it was re-numbered (shopkeeper has written the 991 re-numbering at one end of this U.S. export Hudson Dobson box). More often found as a ‘SHELL CHEMICALS LIMITED’ model at this time.
This attractive commercial truck has such a lustrous red and yellow finish, with just the occasional little mark at some exposed points. Perfect lettering at the sides – this truck has barely seen the light of day and gives the impression of being old shop stock.

Presents nicely with a perfect “SHELL” label at the rear as well as the 20mph sticker:

The dark blue box with a paper label is in excellent condition. Curiously, this example has two paper labels (one on top of the other), and is obviously a factory over-sight!

Colours are vivid and handling wear is at a minimum. Shopkeeper’s own re-numbering at the ends, and traces of sticky tape at this site too. Vivid ‘Hudson Dobson’ export label at one side. All in all, this fresh and bright transitional model is sure to become a treasured item in your collection!
