Dinky Toys 156 Rover 75 Saloon
Rover 75 Saloon by Dinky Toys, No. 156. Two-tone green version. Scarce version with DARKER GREEN LOWER & LIGHTER GREEN UPPER. Large print baseplate. Very near mint/boxed. From The Dutch-Hillman Collection.
Notes
This classic Dinky Rover Saloon was made between 1956-59 in this two-tone green finish. Wonderfully glossy finish and this particular colour version (darker green lower & lighter green upper) is subtly different from the more standard version and more difficult to find.
Note that this example has the large print and 156 on the shiny baseplate:
Pleasing lustre to the original paint finish throughout. Very close to mint. Original treaded tyres are well-shaped.
The pictorial box is bright, clean, fresh and complete. Crisp. Two-tone green colour spot at the end flaps. Very minor wear (small scuff).
