Hovell's Corgi Juniors C52 Christmas Crackers Set

What a treat!
We have this recollection from a dedicated Corgi Collector:

The C52 Corgi Juniors Christmas Cracker sets were made especially for the rare factory visits by children’s parties that were held in Swansea I think in the late 60s early 70s. They did two but found them “hard work” as the saying goes, “kids in a sweet shop!” My Aunty Iris served at one of these parties, “NEVER AGAIN!” it was chaos! This will probably be the only surviving set anywhere as they were purely made for “in house use” only! Not even her favourite nephew (ME!) could get one. I think only around 50 were made, if that, in the very late 60s early 70s. She told me the cracker kits were brought in to be rolled and assembled but Corgi had the boxes printed. I’d completely forgotten about these until seeing yours! The problem is, do you open them or leave them boxed as they may contain rarities??

This is a never-opened Pack of 6 x Hovell’s/ Corgi Juniors Christmas Crackers, still held beneath the fragile original shrink-wrap sleeve. Vivid intact card box measures approx. 30cms x 30cms.
Issued early 1970’s.
Each cracker holds one of the Corgi Juniors “Emergency Vehicles” along with a hat and a motto and a snap (hopefully still working when the cracker is pulled).

Stored carefully for all these years, the Christmas Crackers are completely untouched beneath the shrink-wrap. Minor fading in places to the red crepe paper of the crackers.
We are thrilled to bring this rare survivor to the market-place. We wonder if we will ever see another!

Try as we might, we can find no reference to another C52 Corgi Christmas Cracker Set ever having come to the market-place!
