Part of a one owner from new collection just in; the owner of these fine Dinky commercials was born in Wimbledon London, in 1937. Removed from the attic recently after storage for over 50 years.
An all original example of this popular Dinky model, issued between 1948-52. This is the first issue from 1948 presented in the earliest buff box, the model is marked ‘Supertoys’ on the base. Vivid red cab and chassis, fawn tank and silver flash, 20 mph sign at rear, tinplate ladders.
Close to mint, all original condition.
Two scuffs to the tanker paint finish and minor marking besides. It is worth noting that this model has no retouches. Note the owner has placed a label on the underside.
The buff box is sturdy and sound showing minimal handling. Vividly-coloured paper label. Rusty staples. Faint factory red paint colour spot at a short lid end.
