Dinky Toys 60M Four Engined Flying Boat
Four-Engined Flying Boat by Dinky Toys, No. 60M. Gold version. Excellent plus/unboxed. Rare early Dinky aeroplane from The Heart of England Collection.
Notes
What a find! This is a rare survivor from the earliest Dinky period, this Four-Engined Flying Boat was issued between 1936-41.
In all original finish in gold with complete ‘G-E XFE’ lettering complete. In excellent plus condition with a red bakelite (early plastic) roller on the underside in red. Minor fatigue which is typical of models of this period (due to the instability of the alloys), but we do not expect further deterioration if handled carefully and stored suitably without dramatic changes in temperature (ie. never store in a loft!). In any case, the fatigue is very minor. A little paint loss and note that one propellor is rather loose now.
