Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A close to mint Vanwall Racer finished in vivid saffron yellow with original silver details, blue plastic driver, black plastic steering wheel. Shiny spun wheels and original treaded tyres.
Silver racing number 35 transfers are intact, although note the loss of some of the silver coating on the bonnet transfer. Tiny marking.
Shiny base with ‘DINKY TOYS VANWALL’ clearly visible.
*The very scarce Dinky Toys box with NICKY TOYS over-stickers marks the change from Indian Dinky to Nicky toys. All reference to Dinky is obliterated except for this print on one non-picture side:
Moderate wear (by Nicky standards) includes light edge scuffs and grubbiness. Period lightly-penned writing.
