Notes
Rare 1st issue example made between 1949-54 with no triangular lugs next to the number plate, early ridged wheels, and rear axle fixed by tin clips. Large unpainted hook.
Distinctive burnt (or dull) orange and mid-green finish, with darker green ridged (not grooved Supertoy) wheels.
Bolt fixing and DINKY SUPERTOYS on the base. Spare wheel. Well-shaped smooth black tyres.
Presents well although close inspection reveals a little retouching. Minor sunfading on one side of the cab.
The correct early buff box with picture label is complete, bright and sound. A little minor wear commensurate with age. Now with ‘R’ added to denote colour of model (added at some time).
