Indian Dinky Toys 238 Jaguar D Type
Jaguar D Type by (early) Indian Dinky Toys, No. 238. Very near mint/boxed. So scarce - in CREAM with original REFLECTIVE RACING NUMBERS! No steering wheel. QDT starting bid £750. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission. A First for QDT!
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
An early issue (Pre-Nicky Toys) in very close to mint condition (few marks mostly at rear) finished in cream, with original silver details, original driver, no steering wheel. One-piece tyres/wheels. Deep blue plastic driver.
Virtually complete racing numbers which are most-eye-catching in a shiny ‘chrome’ (foil) colour finish with bold ‘35’ numbering in black.
Please note that the racing numbers are truly reflective, although the images may not quite show this.
Shiny black base has the lettering ‘JAGUAR’ visible, as well as the product number. Old label n the base.
The early plain box with ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta stamped as well as JAGUAR D TYPE is complete and bright. Small handling tear & light wear
