Delightful and scarce Penguin (Tri-ang) Series 4 models. Uniquely fascinating scale models with rubber (band) drive, using the starter handle in conjunction with the rear wheels in order to propel the car along.
Each model has a simple construction with a shiny metal base and one piece black plastic wheels/tyres. Measures approx. 13.5 cms.
Distinctive and appealing all card boxes are complete and crisp .
1) Armstrong Siddeley ‘Hurricane’ in vivid orange.
2) Ford V8 Tudor Sedan, cream.
3) As above but deep green.
Rare to come to the market-place. An interesting group of late 1940’s models.
