Dinky Toys 106 Thunderbirds 2 & 4

Notes

This exciting Gerry Anderson-inspired model has an original metallic blue finish, with extending red legs and red thrusters. Complete original labels throughout (correct that this later issue does not have labels underneath). Occasional small mark.
Hard to find version with a black plastic base section.

We are reluctant to push the central section out, as intended, since it would require quite a lot of force and would result in paint loss to the sides. However, we can hear the Thunderbird 4 moving inside when the Thunderbirds model is gently moved from side to side. This yellow plastic model would slide out from the central portion which (we assume) has a black plastic hinged opening.

The bubble-pack style box has a bright, clean and complete card plinth. Scarce version wiht a deep yellow top surface and blue coloured illustrative images of the model. Little marking where the model has rested.
Original plastic bubble top is light-affected now (has turned a deep yellow-bronze colour) and has a small lower corner section missing as well as a couple of small seam splits.
