Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
Sleek silver finish on this Nicky Dinky Toys Jaguar Mark X Saloon, A very close to mint example with an off-white interior, black steering wheel. Early issue with separate tyres/wheels.
A couple of small casting marks.
The scarce plain white box with NICKY TOYS labels has a factory stamp ‘JAGUAR MARK X SALOON’. Light wear and a carefully re-attached internal end flap. Remains of the original tape which kept the box closed. Period penned South African Rand Price.
