This is the first issue from 1961 in deep metallic blue finish with raised orange-yellow “ECURIE ECOSSE” lettering on both sides. Shaped spun wheels. A great item to display especially with a selection of Corgi racing cars from the same era – this transporter would hold three. Just a very few small marks which do not really detract. Note too that this example has the ‘Genuine Track-Rod Steering Label’ still in place (usually removed).

The correct 1st issue lift-off lid pictorial box is bright, clean with no splits or graffiti (unless you count a faintly-pencilled shopkeeper’s price on the lid!). Minor rubbing at corners/edges. Nice to see that this example has the original chunky card packing insert:

Notable too that the neatly folded Instruction Leaflet is still present:

along with the correct early ‘Moorgate’ Corgi Club Membership Form.
A sought-after Corgi model – and not an easy find in this complete condition!
