Trade Box 5 x Dinky Toys 190 Caravans
5 x Caravans by Dinky Toys, No. 190. In the Dinky Trade Box. Yellow & cream & blue & eau de nil versions. Early issues. Very, very near mint/boxed, each with card packing rings. From The Reference Collection of fine Dinky Toys. Starting bid £250. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
A dazzling array of virtually mint caravans, each one complete with its often missing card packing ring which fits over the tow bar and protects the individual boxes. Looking unused, in virtually mint condition – it appears just one example was sold from the Dinky Shopkeeper’s Trade Box. Made between 1956-62.
2 x deep yellow and cream finish, fawn wheels. Drawbar and smooth black metal jockey wheel.
3 x blue and eau de nil, fawn wheels. Drawbar and smooth black metal jockey wheel.
Each individual picture box is complete and bright with the correct colour spot. Very light wear – negligible wear. One example has some minor flecks of surface loss which is easy to overlook.
The plain buff Trade Box is complete but note there are a few seam tears repaired. These later (thinner) card Trade Boxes are always vulnerable.
