Notes
This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.
This ‘long nose’ version is a more difficult find. Looking outstanding! None of the expected marking at the rear doors. Finished in rich reddish-maroon and cream with delightful period adverts. on both sides (complete). Complete ‘BRITISH RAILWAYS’ lettering throughout, too.
Presents nicely. With working clockwork motor.
Bright chrome parts. Shiny wheels and well-shaped smooth black tyres.
Minute scrutiny finds a couple of very subtle touch-ins (perhaps factory).
Very fresh colourfully illustrated end flap box has very minor wear. Nice to see the ‘BR’ stamp on an end flap.
With Minic Key.
