This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.
A scarce find.
This Dinky Shopkeeper’s Trade box contains 2 x Dinky 140A Austin Atlantic Convertibles as follows:
1) Light pink, ridged cream wheels, smooth well-shaped black tyres save for one which has a very light flat spot. Bright baseplate. Fine silver trim. Sweep of factory paint on one front wing where the casting is rather rough. Near mint wiht a few small marks to the paint/
2) Deeper pink version with ridged cream wheels, smooth well-shaped black tyres. Stray drip of factory paint on one side. Very near mint.
Yellow Trade box shows a little age/handling wear. Few small stain spots on the lid. Faint pencilled writing including a period shopkeeper’s price. With original dividers.
