Nicky Dinky Toys 186 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE
Mercedes-Benz 220 SE by Nicky Dinky Toys, No. 186. Scarce SAFFRON YELLOW version. Very near mint/boxed. From A Phenomenal Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A very close to mint example finished in saffron yellow with original bright chrome details, off-white interior, black steering wheel, and intact window glazing. Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels.
A rare issue.
Shiny black base with all Dinky Toys details obliterated with simply 186 product number visible, along with the Indian manufacturers details.
Stray flick of factory silver on one side near the door handle and a small area of rough casting nearby.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) has very little of the usual wear (for this range). Hard to find so good!
