Indian Dinky Toys 142 Jaguar Mark X Saloon
Jaguar Mark X Saloon by Indian Dinky Toys, No. 142. Very scarce light FERN GREEN issue. Very near mint/boxed with luggage. From The Victoria Cambridge Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A rare find. This is a so close to mint Jaguar Mark X model finished in a distinctive light fern green with original silver details, off-white interior, black steering wheel. One-piece wheels/tyres. Gloss base with ‘Nicky Toys’ on the base, no product number but ‘Jaguar Mark X’ lettering present.
With two pieces of luggage.
You have to hunt for a couple of tiny marks.
The Nicky Toys box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) presents very well indeed with barley any of the expected wear that can plague these Indian Nicky toys boxes!
