Notes
Issued between 1948-52, this fresh and bright 1st type Foden has a vivid red cab and chassis, fawn back and silver flash. Such an attractive lustre to the paint finish!
Fine tread radial tyres are well-shaped. Tanker slits. Large unpainted hook, spare wheel and shiny baseplate (minor ‘spidering’).
Upon closest inspection, one can a couple of very small wheel arch retouches (marks that routinely occur during factory assembly carefully retouched at some time). The cab on particular is outstanding with a virtually mint-mint paint finish.
The green card box with paper labels is completely and deeply-coloured showing light handling. Very minor wear.
An outstanding display piece.
