AEC Tanker "SHELL CHEMICALS" by Dinky Supertoys, No. 991. Very, very near mint/boxed. A superlative example from The Denis Tyler Collection. Second issue made between 1955-58, this late issue example has a bright red and yellow finish. Complete “SHELL CHEMICALS” lettering on both sides, complete ‘SHELL’ logo at the rear. 20 mph transfer complete too.
Bright yellow ridged Supertoys wheels and grey radial tyres (occasional light flat spot).
Paint finish is all original and virtually mint. What a find!
The striped Supertoys box is bright and complete, with no splits or repairs. Note this is the scarce late issue from 1958 (Dinky stamp inside the lid) with DINKY SUPERTOYS italicised print.
