Jaguar Mark X by Dinky Toys, No. 142. Light SKY BLUE version. Near mint plus/boxed. Very rare issue, complete with luggage. From The Hasting Collection. Starting bid £500. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
This rare Jaguar MK X model is in all original condition with a distinctive light sky blue finish and a bright red interior, bright spun wheels, silver trim, domed rivet.
Complete with two pieces of luggage. One chip to the paint finish above the radiator and a few smaller marks (opening boot edge).
This model is presented in the standard UK issue box (i.e. not South African) and the rivets are the UK domed shape. This leads us to the conclusion that this was an export issue – or at the very least an extremely rare UK issue, although many collectors assert that this colour finish was a South African issue. Either way – very rare!
Please take a look at this picture below for comparison only – this English Dinky Jaguar in sky blue is placed alongside the South African version which is distinctly paler:
The box is bright and complete. Light wear.
