Notes
1st type issue, made between 1948-52. Gleaming two-tone blue paint finish with a silver flash and fine tread herringbone tyres. Nice to see that the tinplate tank is not dented or rusty and that the axles/baseplate are bright.
20 mph transfer still in place behind one of the rear wheel arches.
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish, although closest scrutiny finds a little retouching.
This tanker comes complete with fresh-looking buff early card box with a bright and clean paper label. Very little age wear apart from rusty staples. The colours are vivid. Tiny lower edge loss to end of labels at the short lid ends.
