A beautifully vibrant, all original example of this classic Dinky commercial made in 1954. Such glowing lustrous colours throughout! This truck has barely seen the light of day and has the appearance of old-shop stock:
Second type cab, bright baseplate, large hook and spare wheel. 20 m.p.h. sign at rear.
Upon minute inspection, one may see a little negligible mark at a wheel arch and a couple of pin prick marks at two roof corners. The casting on the bed is rather rough.
The box is the scarce transition issue which marked the re-numbering of this model from 502 to 902. It looks very fresh and has scarcely any age wear at all.
Original card packing piece which fits behind the cab is still present. This, along with the condition of both model and box, leads one to think that this is old shop stock.
Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this example 1954.
