Dinky Toys 502 Foden Flat Truck
Foden Flat Truck by Dinky Toys, No. 502. Rare SECOND TYPE issue in French blue & red. Near mint plus/boxed. One of the rarest commercials from The 25 Year Collection in California. Starting bid £500. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
This is an especially difficult second type Foden to source. In original condition, this commercial Dinky model has a distinctive French blue and deep red finish with lighter blue ridged Supertoy wheels. Well-shaped grey radial tyres.
Rare to come to the market-place.
Issued during 1952. Correct with no flash at cab sides. Large painted hook. Tanker slits on the underside as well as chain post bosses. 20 (miles per hour) transfer in place.
This is a worthy addition to any serious Dinky commercial collection, particularly bearing in mind its scarcity.
Occasional small mark at vulnerable points, exposed points as you might expect. Small extra flick of (assumed) factory blue paint on the cab front.
The blue Supertoys box with a paper label is bright and complete with no splits or graffiti. Dulled staples. Light wear/edge scuffs. With red U.S. Export label on one lid side.
