Scarce first issue Foden with a red cab and flatbed with black chassis and flash (from 1947-48). This striking Dinky Foden has a vivid red finish throughout, with well-shaped radial tyres.
Correct that this model has neither tanker slits nor chain post bosses. Earliest version without towhook.
Hard to find a mark but scrupulous examination finds the occasional subtle touch-in.
Correct early box impresses with intact buff card and bright paper labels. Very minor wear and note the factory colour stamp initial ‘R’ denoting colour of model.
