This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.
In outstanding condition, this rare colour version was issued from 1948. 1st type has a distinctive burnt orange finish, bright mid-green back and flash, matching early ridged wheels and fine tread black radial tyres(well-shaped). 20 mph transfer is still in place.
Early example with tank slits and no chain post bosses on the underside.
Shiny metal parts, including axle ends. Glossy paint finish presents so well.
Small flake of paint on a wheel arch and a small touch-in on the chassis.
The vibrant blue picture box shows the first type cab variation. Complete bright paper label. Minor wear and note a small area of surface paper loss has been inked to camouflage this on one side.
