5 x Indian Nicky Dinky Toys ( various). From The Phenomenal Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A fine group of Indian Nicky Dinky Toys as follows:
1) Nicky Dinky Toys, No. 120 E Type Jaguar, in brick red with a deep blue-black detachable roof. Silver trim. One-piece wheels/tyres. Intact windscreen. Near mint plus (small flake of paint). Complete and crips pictorial box has a little of the usual wear. No tears or repairs.
2) As above but in silver, with shiny spun wheels, and well-shaped treaded tyres. Detachable roof is true black. Very, very near mint. Pictorial box is complete showing a little wear and a small tear to the tuck-in part of one end flap. Tiny tear besides.
3) Nicky Dinky Toys, No. 186 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE in mid green with an off-white interior. One-piece wheels/tyres. Shiny and complete chrome trim. Very near mint (stray dot of factory silver on one side). Small period label on the model base. Nice picture box has a very small area of surface loss on a non-picture side.
4) As above but metallic green. One-piece wheels/tyres (spoked detail). Very near mint. Shiny and complete trim. Nice picture box has light wear.
5) Nicky Dinky Toys No. 194 Bentley S Coupe in red-brown, with a pale avocado seating. Driver, iNtact screen. sHiny and complete chrome trim. One-piece wheels/tyres. Very, very near mint Impressive picture box.
