This Dinky collector had the opportunity to purchase a group of colour ttial models and unfinished items upon the closure of the Meccano Factory in 1980.
This is one of these models.
Never issued in metallic green with a black interior. An unfinished model – it is clear to see that a convertible version was being considered. However, this particular version never made it beyond the colour trial stage.
One-piece wheels/tyres and a screwed base. Few marks to the paint finish.
Few marks to the paint finish and a casting blemish on one side.

Lady Penelope's Fab 1 by Dinky Toys, No. 100. With gold interior & 5-Stud Wheels. Very, very near mint/boxed. Scarce late issue in a Bubble Pack (with intact original cover). Missiles/rockets still in packet. Very scarce version with NO printed reference to 'HEATHFIELD PARK' and the 'DIECAST METAL' print within a star is on the plinth top surface (not at the sides).
