Notes
It is always thrilling to find South African Dinky models. So difficult to come by, especially in authentic condition and in the correct box. The model colours are always unusual and markedly different from the standard U.K issues too.
This Ramber model is finished in a distinctive olive (or sage) green with a vivid red detailed interior, cream steering wheel, shiny spun wheels, white treaded tyres, shiny chrome bumpers (complete).
In stunning condition with a beautiful lustre to the original paint finish. Virtually mint state.
The correct South African box is an especially difficult find. An even more elusive find in this condition! Vibrant sharp colours on crisp card, complete with all end flaps and no repairs. Note the correct Afrikaans printed in the box on one face and the tiny print Arthur E. Harris (sole distributor), Printed in South Africa on the box underside.
Light wear.
Penned pricing on an end flap. Faintly written ‘OLIVE’ on the top surface:
Superb condition – both model and box! What a find; this is an outstanding example and sure to please even the most critical collectors.
