Dinky Toys 40F Hillman Minx
Hillman Minx by Dinky Toys, No. 40F. Scarce dark bottle green issue with lighter green ridged wheels. Very near mint/early issue, so never boxed. From The esteemed Spa-Francorchamps Collection. QDT starting bid £200. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
An original early example of this classic Dinky model first issued during 1951. This version in lustrous bottle green finish with lighter green ridged wheels is not an easy find. Early issue, so correct early ‘railed baseplate’ with small lettering.
Occasional tiny mark to the paint finish.
Early examples would never have been boxed individually, but sold from a Dinky shopkeeper’s box of 6.
