Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A rare find. Presented in the early ‘Indian DINKY TOYS’ box, this is a close to mint Jaguar Mark X model finished in lemon with original silver details, off-white interior, black steering wheel. One-piece wheels/tyres. Gloss base with ‘Nicky Toys’ on the base, no product number but ‘Jaguar Mark X’ lettering present.
With luggage.
A few small marks to the paint finish around the top edge of the opening boot. As-made paint run on one side.
The harder to find Indian Dinky box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) with no mention of Nicky Toys name at this point, presents well with just a little of the usual wear and a tape repair to the tuck-in part of one large end flap.
