Notes
An early classic Foden model (1947-48) – and a difficult find in this mid-blue finish with a black chassis and silver flash. An early issue, so correct without a tow hook or tank slits on the underside and correctly presented in the first buff box with a paper label. Such a distinctive colour, this Foden presents well, especially with those early herringbone tyres!
20mph sign in place on a rear wheel arch.
The most attractive of colour finishes:
Bright baseplate and axles and that includes the ends.
Minor marking to some of the usual vulnerable points. Few retouches visible upon close inspection.
The early buff card box is complete and clean, with no seam tears and a bright paper label. Factory ‘B’ stamp at a lid end denoting colour of model. A little age/handling wear and light marking. A little tarnishing to the staples. Factory stamp on the underside of the box base.
