Notes
This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.
Originally part of The Illinsky Collection, this rare Britains model was made circa 1938. This is the first version finished in brown and tan with silver wheels and original smooth white tyres (one has some cracking).
Originally sold at Vectis in 2014.
There are a very few marks to the all original glossy two-tone finish. Shiny radiator, headlight and bumper assembly.
Measures 113 mm.
The sturdy brown lift-off lid box has a complete informative label. Light wear and surely far less than one would expect for a box of this age.
All contained in a later custom-made Moroccan Leather outer box with gilt lettering on the lid.
Obviously cherished by previous owners.
A remarkable opportunity to add this exceptional and rare item to your collection.
