An appealing selection of wartime and post-war Six-wheeled Wagons all safely housed in the original shopkeeper’s Trade box with original card dividers.
The group comprises:
1) An original early post war civilian truck with tin tilt. Darkest blue paint finish has a fine lustre throughout. Well-shaped grey tinplate tilt. Issued 1945-48, 20 mph sign at rear and ridged black hubs. Early issue so there is a hole in the seat for a driver. Steering wheel, silver detailed radiator, spare wheel and towing hook. Occasional small mark to the paint finish. Very near mint.
2) As above.
3) Matte mid-brown version with a tin grey tilt. Issued 1945-48, 20 mph sign at rear and ridged black hubs. Hole in the seat for a driver and passenger. Steering wheel, silver detailed radiator, spare wheel and towing hook. Very near mint.
4) Deep gloss brown version with a mustard yellow tinplate tilt (well-shaped). Issued 1945-48, 20 mph sign at rear and ridged black hubs. Hole in the seat for a driver and passenger. Steering wheel, silver detailed radiator, spare wheel and towing hook. Very near mint.
5) Cool brown version with a tin grey tilt. Issued 1945-48, 20 mph sign at rear and ridged black hubs. Version with no holes in the seat for a driver. Smooth white tyres (some later additions). Very near mint.
6) Deep gloss brown version with a grey tinplate tilt (well-shaped). Issued 1945-48, 20 mph sign at rear and ridged black hubs. Hole in the seat for a driver and passenger. Steering wheel, silver detailed radiator, spare wheel and towing hook. Smooth white tyres (later addition). Near mint plus (few small touch-ins).
Sturdy buff card Trade box is complete and free of graffiti. Very nearly complete yellow informative label at a short lid end. Tape to a lid corner and a glue repair to another. Rust staining at staples and a little wear besides. Original dividers.
