Notes
We are delighted to offer for sale this rare 1st type Dinky Foden Tailboard model from 1947-early 1948. A scarce first type Foden with a deep green 1st type cab and chassis with a paler back, flash and hubs. This model has none of the retouching or repainting that can often plague these valuable early Dinky commercial trucks.
Smart lustre and fine original radial tyres.
Outstanding virtually mint condition.
Correct that this early example has a small tow hook. No tank slits or chain post bosses on the base. 20 mph label is still in place.
Correct that this model comes in an early buff picture box. Bright paper label on the top surface and at one lid short end. Bright and fresh throughout, showing that this model has been carefully stored and rarely handled.
Gives the impression of unsold, old shop stock.
