Notes
A very scarce and early Gift set from Dinky (1936-37). This pre-war Silver Jubilee Train set comprises a locomotive and two interlocking coaches in silver with mid blue trim. Black wheels and white tyres are all in excellent clean and bright condition. Notably, this three part set comes with all pieces intact; so often the delicate couplings break off in a set of this age.
Finish is generally bright although there is some pitting/tarnishing to one carriage where it has picked up moisture from the box over the passage of time.
Occasional minor mark besides.
The box is bright and complete, presents well and shows minimal handling and careful storage. Hard to find this good!
The inner is crisp and bright with a colourful pictorial scene in which all three components sit. A beautiful display backdrop!
Couple of tears to the inner.
