Ford Zephyr Police Car BBC TV 'Z Cars' by Spot-on Models, No. 309. Very near mint/boxed. Scarce issue with shaped spun wheels. From The Marc Mulvale Collection. QDT starting bid £200. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
Issued during 1965 from the well respected Spot-On company, this T.V. series inspired Zephyr Police Car is in very close to mint condition, complete with both figures, both aerials (original and intact) and number plates front and rear .
Small mark on the bonnet which may be possible to clean away and minor marking to the driver’s door.
The intricate card inner which serves as a fitting backdrop for the model is complete, clean and bright, including the ‘Z Cars’ sign. Light wear.
The cellophane-fronted (generic) box is complete and bright and the smooth original cellophane (refitted into place) has merely a pinprick puncture. The card has some wear and a couple of small repaired tears. This box which is unnumbered was not strictly used for this model since the little window port at the end is positioned a little too highly so the product number is not visible until the end flaps are opened.
