Dinky Toys 942 Regent Foden Tanker

Issued between 1955-57, this is a striking Dinky Tanker with a fine and vibrant paint finish throughout with intact ladder, bright baseplate and spare wheel. ‘REGENT’ letters are virtually complete – complete on both sides.

Tiny mark or two to the white stripe on both sides (always vulnerable, and this model has fared better than most).
Rear transfer is bright, fresh and virtually complete.
Complete 20 mph label at a rear wheel arch.
Barely a mark to the paint finish. Extra small dab of white paint on one of the side stripes.
The striped Supertoys box is clean with bright colours throughout and that includes the portion of the deep blue base not covered by the lid. Remains of old tape that kept the lid closed and a couple of small areas of surface loss on the box base underside. A little age/handling wear.
Nice to see that both card packing pieces are present!
