Notes
This early example of the early issue Corgi Batmobile is in close to mint condition. Unmistakably silky matt paint finish (few of these have survived, most were gloss finish).
Suspension on front wheels. Bright mid-blue screens and both seated figures of Batman and Robin. Shiny chrome to launching tubes (one small fleck) and cockpit (complete), vivid Bat hubs and Bat logos on both sides. Three wheels have gold surrounds, one has bare metal. Intact aerial. Pulsating flame, chain cutter and rocket launchers work well.
Occasional small mark to the paint finish.
Card inner is very bright and complete with vivid artwork on crisp card. Notably, no wheel slot tears.
Reverse:
The Secret Instruction Packet has been opened (tiny portion of the return is missing) and inside is a sprue of original fluorescent red missiles (small sprue repair), Badge, Operating Instructions, Extra Feature leaflet & Corgi Club Membership Form.
The colourfully illustrated outer box is one of the best we have seen in a long while. Crisp, fresh, bright and looks as f it has been in storage for decades. Tiny area of surface loss is easily overlooked. With card packing ring and larger card packing piece.
Such a scarce Corgi iconic item to add to your collection.
