Notes
The first Corgi car ever made – and a must for your collection. Issued in various colour finishes between 1956-61. This version of the Consul in mid-blue was issued a little later as a mechanical version (under the numbering 200M), with the familiar bulge on the baseplate.
This rare earlier version is the non-mechanical version and an especially rare find in this bright mid-blue finish. Flat spun wheels gleam. Tyres are as-new. Baseplate is very shiny.
The owner tells us:
“This Corgi Toy was a gift from a close family friend who had been given the toy by my grandad when they were boys”.
Close to mint condition with a little marking to the all original paint finish mostly on the roof.
The early blue picture box is complete and brightly-coloured, with no tears and a crisp feel. Light wear and a couple of small stains.
With promotional booklet.
An exceptional find.
