Notes

A truly mesmerising and ingenious tinplate toy! With working clockwork movement.
Wind the clockwork motor up, and then watch as the two cars move along and slide from one roadway to the other as the upper roadway raises and lowers. This happens time and time again – and one cannot help but watch until the clockwork motor runs down. Ready to be wound up again!
The delightful lithographed city scene suggests New York, although the futuristic clear glass multi-storey car park is not a familiar sight! The toy echoes the movement of the cars within the multi storey car park as they travel from level to level.

Technofix 255 car elevator ff531 back

This fascinating and unique toy measures approx 25.5 in length although the cream coloured ‘roadways’ do extend.
Complete with the two simple pressed steel ‘futuristic’ lithographed vehicles.
Made in U.S Zone Germany.
Tiny wear only – as fine an example as you will find!
The fully illustrated card box has been rarely handled and stored well.
