Purchased Mail Order in 1968 and with one owner from new, this is a scarce find.
The owner recalls receiving this special Gift some 55 years ago!
All housed in a plain brown tray with original Janet Frazer Catalogue No. 6R 2093R, this set of 4 iconic Corgi TV Related boxed models comprises:
1) Corgi Toys 267 Batmobile
Gloss black finish, this is the early 2nd type with fixed tow hook, red Bat wheels, both figures seated. Near mint plus/boxed, with a few paint chips. No suspension on rear wheels now. Colourful card plinth has a couple of very small wheel slot tears. Bright and fresh with a crisp feel. No Secret Instruction Packet but 4 loose missiles remain. Colourful and complete illustrated card box has light age/handling wear.
2) Corgi Toys 268 The Green Hornet’s Black Beauty
Gloss black finish with a complete roof transfer and shaped spun wheels. Both figures present. Near mint/boxed. Some minor marking & wear to gloss black finish. No suspension on rear wheels. Bright and complete colourful card plinth has minor creasing and a couple of very small tears. The Secret Instruction Packet is present although rather crumpled with a tear. Contains 3 spinners & 4 missiles. Instructions. Complete and bright outer box has slight creases and wear. Small stain.
3) Corgi Toys 336 James Bond’s Toyota in cream. Near mint plus/boxed, with both figures and spoked wheels. With opened Secret Instruction Packet which contains 7 loose missiles only. Colourful card plinth has light wear. Card outer box presents well with colourful illustrations. Age/handling wear.
4) Corgi Toys 497 Man From UNCLE Thrushbuster, and a rare find in cream, correct without casting around the complete and bright bonnet label. Near mint plus/boxed. Early issue so correct with metal spotlights. Shiny roof button, seated figure. Detailed cast wheels. Complete and bright card plinth is the version with a monochrome section over which the car is placed. Some wear to wheel slots. No ring. Outer box is complete and bright with light grubbiness and handling wear.
All four boxed Corgi TV Related models are housed in the plain brown Mail Order Tray with original Janet Frazer Catalogue No. 6R 2093R. Some age and storage wear.
A most unusual find – this set of 4 original Corgi TV-related models has been in storage for decades. We have never seen another!
