Dinky Toys 161 Austin Somerset Saloon
Austin Somerset Saloon by Dinky Toys, No. 161. Scarce cream & black issue. Early issue with smooth tyres. Near mint plus/unboxed. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
This is the sought after late two-tone issue made towards the end of the run 1956-59. In authentic and original condition throughout with a pleasing lustre to the paint finish. Correct that this early issue does not have the rear light detail or silver numberplate. Correct smooth tyres are well-shaped.
Hard to fault the paint finish.
None of the usual rubbing to the roof.
Note the dulling to the base and there is an area of rough casting on one side.
