We are agents for a large lifetime Dinky collection some items were purchased directly from toy shops during the 1960s. He would travel to toyshops in the search for any old or out-of date stock, since scarcely anyone collected in those early days. Many were bought or swapped at early swapmeet/toyfairs. Quite a few of the unboxed models were taken straight from trade boxes. An interesting and varied collection that has been amassed over some 30 or so years.

Issued between 1954-60 in four different colour finishes, this powder blue version is in outstanding condition – and so rare! A striking and eye-catching truck on display:

It is quite unfair to downgrade this model from mint, since strictly this model is as-made; there is a small paint miss at cab side beneath the window – otherwise this model is hard to fault! Such a lustrous sheen to the paint finsh too. A real gem. Complete and intact original radiator and headlight assembly with original detailing, contrasts nicely with the powder blue finish. Bright baseplate ? and the tyres look as-new! Obviously a cherished piece that has barely been handled.
The pictorial box is complete, bright and quite fresh, with all end flaps and no tears. Correct colour spot at the end flaps too.

The word ‘red’ has been written neatly at one end flap and there is a small rubbed area at the other end flap, where an original price has been erased.
A very difficult one to resist – a first rate investment piece and a joy to own!
