Notes

Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison. This example is one of the best we have seen – most presentable with paper labels, all propellors and and only a couple of very minor marks to the paint finish. A rare find indeed!

On the underside, one can clearly see where the word Dinky has been altered to read ‘Nicky’! Stamped ‘Made In India’ on the underside too. The card box is rather worn now – often the boxes are in extremely poor condition. All parts are complete, although there are some creases, small tears and small areas of surface peeling. Box base gives a listing of other Nicky Toys in the range. Some pen writing on the box base too.
A fascinating piece of Dinky history and well worth incorporating into your collection.
